Pudge had an inventive mind. He liked to make up stories about himself in which he was either the hero or the villain. Most of the stories evolved about what life was like in the 1930’s and the various ways a 12 year old boy such as himself could get into trouble.
Many of the stories Pudge made up were based on tales his grandfather had told him but some came from Pudge’s creative imagination.
