WELCOME TO SPRING
By: Frederick Laird
While waiting for the tender touch of Spring
To leave behind old winter’s icy scene
Our thoughts all seem to quickly find their way
To snowless hills where everything is green.
For winter is enchanting to the young
But not so fascinating when you’re old
The warmth of Spring will be a welcome sign
That sunny summer days will soon unfold.
