First dawning is a peaceful time of day
The night has let my worries drift away.
While deep in sleep my mind has been at ease
My worries buried in uncharted seas.
But once the day has earnestly begun
Those worries try to rise up with the sun.
The brilliance of the day seems to suggest
Illusive thoughts to make me feel depressed.
But you sweep all those base ideas aside
And send them on a still-born one-way ride.
Your love will help me triumph over blues
And vanquish any strife that still accrues.
Your love has all the strength to circumvent
All thoughts that tend to harbor discontent
