If ever you’re tempted by booze
Perhaps you should go on a cruise.
Learn not to give in
Face life with a grin
And soak up some culture and views.

Perhaps you should stay at an inn
Till the battle you think you can win.
Make your adieus
To cocktails and brews
Instead be your own paladin.

Take trips to a few nearby zoos
But wear your most comfortable shoes.
Go out wanderin’
Get soaked to the skin
And books about travel peruse.

When the battle you know you can win
Throw out both you chest and your chin.
You’ll enjoy what ensues
No more need for the blues
There is much more to life than sloe gin.
