We arrived in old Nairobi town
Feeling in the pink
Except for hours of flying time
When we didn’t sleep a wink.

But that was not a problem
As we all had a room
Where we could sleep for hours
Perhaps till almost noon.

We were sorely disappointed
For much to our chagrin
We were serenaded every night
By a band making quite a din.

There has to be a remedy
We have yet to find a way
We might have to keep our jet lag
Till we’re back in the USA.
