SENSATIONS
By: Frederick Laird
The gentle lapping of waves on sand
The smell of the ocean breeze
The palette of colors that paint the land
Wind blowing through the trees.
The brilliant hues we see in the Fall
The splendor of a mountain stream
The pastoral charm of an old rock wall
A distant waterfall’s gleam.
Such sensory impressions we could share
And perceptions would greatly expand
If we could remember to be more aware
Of the beauty at our command.
