We had a fine lesson last night
In learning a language of lore
This language of antiquity
Is not now such a mystery
And the lesson was never a bore.
Maria taught us letters and words
And she made it so easy to see
Learning language this way
Creates much less dismay
But it still sounds like Greek to me.
