I wish I was a boy again
Instead of three score and ten.
Playing baseball all day at the park
And other games long after dark
Are memories I’d live once again.

If I could be a boy again
When life was more simple than now.
Catching fish with a pole and a string
Reaching out to grab the brass ring
Would have much more meaning somehow.

If life had only remained
As it was when I wandered free.
There’d be no need for anguish
In old memories languish
And life would be lived joyously
NOSTALGIA
