COMMUNICATION WOES
By: Frederick Laird
I often can’t find the right way
Of expressing what I have to say
But if I take the time to put it in rhyme
My meaning I’ll quickly convey.
I haven’t the foggiest notion
Of how to explain an emotion
I know it’s a feeling that may set me reeling
And might even cause a commotion.
I don’t have the faintest idea
What to say when children have fear
I know when they feel it they cannot conceal it
And their fear is abundantly clear.
My onerous communication
Is merely a manifestation
Of someone who knows but adds to his woes
When something gets lost in translation.
