Now that the park is finished
And the difficult work is done
It’s time for us to give credit
To a group that’s been roasted in fun.
I’m talking about some people
Who were previously much maligned,
By a poet whose name won’t be mentioned
But who is a dear friend of mine.
The group that we should honor
With applause and a cheer or two
Is a group that is called the Clippies;
Clippies, my hat’s off to you.
