I’ve wandered on down many roads
And none have brought me wealth
Yet I feel I’m very rich
Happy and in good health.
The roads that I have wandered
Have not been lined with treasure
Some were short and some were long
But most have brought me pleasure.
The pleasures that these roads have brought
Are multiplied every day
That I can meet with one of the friends
I’ve made along the way.
For riches that have come my way
Are friendships I have gained
The far outweigh any gold or coin
That I may have attained.
