We look down from the hills at the valley
At the hustle, bustle, and strife
And thank the Lord we have chosen to move
At a slower pace through life.
For life in the hills is a happy one
One that is calm and serene;
With a stream rushing by, a bright blue sky
And air so fresh and clean.
For we lived a while in the valley
With its frantic and hectic pace,
And decided we needed to slow life down
To remove ourselves from the race.
So now we live in the clean, green hills
Where gentle breezes blow,
And live a life where we’re quite content
As we gaze on the scene below.
A VIEW FROM THE HILLS
